With its beginnings leading back to the founding of Arbor Day and the Morton Salt Company in Chicago, the Morton Arboretum is one of my favorite outdoor wedding venues in Chicago because of the many beautiful ceremony and recption sites it offers. As a forest preserve, the mission of the Morton Arboretum is to “inspire guests to appreciate, learn about, and protect trees;” because of this, you’ll find seven distinct ceremony and reception locations throughout the property for the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor celebrations. My personal favorite is the lush Fragrance Garden!

A unique, historical property in Lake Forest, IL, the Armour House features a dramatic facade, romantic gardens, and indoor space for as many as 225 guests seated for dinner. Package prices for receptions vary depending on the time of year and day of the week, but range from $122-148 per person.

The Grove Redfield Estate
Glenview, IL
The Grove Redfield Estate was once a private residence–now it’s been beautifully renovated into one of the best outdoor wedding venues in the suburbs of Chicago, featuring cottage-style architecture, multiple gardens, a gazebo, and access to one of the largest parklands in the state of Illinois.
