Kate & Bryan: Luxurious Montrose Harbor Engagement Session

Back in June of 2021, some of my closest photographer friends from across the United States joined me in Chicago for a content retreat. Over the course of a week, we spent time designing photo sessions and creating images that inspired us. This luxury engagement session at Montrose Harbor was planned by Tom, owner and founder of Tom Russo Photography, based in New Jersey.

About the Session

Kate and Bryan traveled all the way from New Jersey to Chicago for their Montrose Harbor engagement session; later in 2021, Tom photographed their wedding back home.

Our vision for the session was to make the most of what Montrose Harbor had to offer aesthetically: skyline views, plentiful boats, as well as pier and beach access along Lake Michigan. We had the perfect weather, and we treated with an extra special surprise when some kind folks invited us out onto the docks to take photos on their sailboat!

If you’re planning a Montrose Harbor engagement session, keep in mind that you will need to obtain a non-commercial photography permit through the Chicago Park District. You can easily obtain your permit through the park district’s online booking page.
