Rachel & Sam: Lehmann Mansion Anniversary Session

I met Rachel and Sam at a photography conference in January 2021. We hit it off almost instantly, as Rachel and I discovered we were fellow wedding photographers with a similar style and values. During the end-of-conference send-off party, the pair shared with me that they hadn’t had any portraits taken together since their wedding, more than five years ago.

We made plans for them to visit me in Chicago for an anniversary session at the historic Lehmann Mansion. As the date for our August photo session drew closer, Rachel shared with me that there would be a special element added to their anniversary images — a baby announcement! Rachel brought the cutest little white shoes along to use as a prop for sharing the news of their growing family on social media.
