With only eight Saturdays available for 2023 weddings as of this writing, The Fairlie is one of the best industrial wedding venues in Chicago, and for good reason. Located in Chicago’s Kinzie industrial corridor, The Fairlie is a modern wedding and event space with a sophisticatd design palette and a versatile, functional layout for celebrations of all types. About The Fairlie
With a total usable space of 15,000+ square feet spread across the building’s ceremony and reception areas as well as adjoining mezzanine and dressing lounges, The Fairlie is a wedding venue that blends warm brick walls with raw steel, and sophisticated marbled concrete accents for a contemporary and inviting ambiance.
Dressing lounges with private ensuite bathrooms are provided for both the bride and groom’s parties. Some couples use these rooms as a space to relax before the event; others use them to sneak a way for a break between the ceremony and reception.
One of my favorite features of the Fairlie is the venue’s steel staircase leading up to the mezzanine level: When styled with loose greens or florals, its the perfect backdrop for photos or a grand entrance into your ceremony or reception!
If warm ambiance is a priority for your wedding day, The Fairlie permits the use of real candles (secured within glass votives) during the reception.
Ceremony and Reception Locations
Equipped with fully retracable off-white drapes throughout the event space, the layout of the Fairlie is fully customizable to fit the needs of your celebration. Most couples choose to section off one area for the ceremony; while cocktails occur in the front of the building, the drapes can be pulled back to flip the room and expand the space for a seated dinner recption. Rental Fees
Peak wedding season pricing ranges from $6,500 to $10,000, while off-season pricing ranges from $5,500 to $8,500. All wedding rental packages include access to the space from 2:00 pm until 1:30 am for all set up and tear down needs.
All rentals include tables and seating for up to 250 guests, as well as 10 cocktail tables.
To secure your date at The Fairlie, a 50% deposit is required, and your remaining balance is due one month before the wedding date. An additional $1,000 security deposit is due at signing, and will be returned less any damages after your event. For direct quote for your event, please contact The Fairlie directly.
Food and Beverage
The Fairlie is equipped with a separate service entrance for your caterer, with a full-size commercial refrigerator, freezer and sink, and ample prep tables.
You have the freedom to choose and contract your own caterer but do make note: All beverage service must be provided through your licensed and contracted caterer with a valid and active Chicago Caterer’s Liquor License. No BYOB under any circumstances.
