My Favorite Moments
Laura and Nate’s The Grove Redfield Estate wedding day was hot and we dodged thundershowers all afternoon. Despite the weather, this beautiful couple was nothing but smiles throughout the day. After waiting almost two years to tie the knot thanks to the pandemic, I don’t think I’ve seen a couple more excited about saying I do. I think we all felt relieved that the big day was finally upon us — I shot Laura and Nate’s engagement session way, way back in the autumn of 2019.
No amount of weather could put a damper on Laura and Nate’s love for each other, and my favorite example of this came during the first look. After getting ready off site a nearby hotel, Nate joined us at The Grove Redfield Estate for his first look with Laura at the secluded Gazebo.
And wow–after waiting two years to see Laura in her gown, Nate’s reaction was priceless! Just scroll down and take a look for yourself. It’s okay, I’ll wait. 🙂
One of my favorite moments from Laura and Nate’s day was their wedding ceremony beneath the mansion’s towering oak tree. It was the perfect backdrop for their elegant and simple ceremony!
About the Venue at The Grove Redfield Estate
A property managed by the Glenview Park District, The Grove Redfield Estate is one of my favorite mansion wedding venues in the Chicago area, and for good reason. The property has so much to offer couples on their wedding day, from beautifully-landscaped grounds, with plenty of open space for outdoor ceremonies at the Gazebo or beneath the mature oak tree at the front of the mansion, the brick pavilion for open air receptions, and dedicated use of the historic house (including a beautifully historic bridal suite!), you’ll be sure to find just the right blend of features to plan a luxurious countryside wedding.
Wedding rentals begin at $4,000 for Saturday weddings. Reduced rates are available for brunch weddings and off-peak dates.
