Nestled in the heart of downtown Elgin, IL and conveniently close to the Metra train line station, The Haight is perfectly positioned to host your wedding day celebration from start to finish. The Haight is an expertly restored and converted industrial space that is filled with old-world charm. I think you’re going to love it!

History of the Haight

The Haight’s backdrop is a beautiful warehouse, formerly the home of the Elgin Storage and Transfer Company, which was originally built in 1890. Filled with exposed warm brick walls and original beam ceilings, The Haight has been carefully crafted to preserve as many elements of the building’s former glory as possible.

This unique wedding venue was born when The Haight family themselves needed space to have a wedding, and after hosting that first intimate gathering, the family saw the potential for what the old building could become.

Over the years, several additions have been made to The Haight, but many original appointments remain. Among those antique features, my absolute favorite is the original second-floor apartment. Formerly the private home of Elgin Storage and Transfer Company’s owner and family, the apartment has been beautifully converted into a bright and elegant bridal suite.

Bridal Suite

This venue’s bridal suite has plenty of space for you and all of your ladies to get ready, relax, and celebrate!

Appointed with its original floors and inlaid with oak and maple features throughout, the apartment-turned-bridal-suite has plenty of oversized windows, perfect for letting in all of that beautiful natural light you’ll want for having amazing getting ready photographs.

My favorite portion of the bridal suite has to be the makeup counter, lined with beautiful vintage lamps and stools for you and your girls to sit and chat as you’re pampered in preparation for the big day.

Ceremonies & Receptions

The beauty of this industrial wedding venue does not end in the bridal suite! This industrial wedding venue in Illinois is perfectly equipped to serve up to 250 seated guests with a dance floor. With separate spaces for both your ceremony and reception, you’ll have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your celebration.

The Haight’s ceremony space is equipped with black Tolix-style chairs and all the hanging twinkle lights your heart could hope for in a romantic, industrial wedding venue in Chicago.

The reception space features custom-built round and rectangular farm tables for a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

And let’s not forget about the cocktail hour! The Haight is equipped with three bars (two stationary, and one mobile) to serve your family, friends, and guests wherever they might be.

Downstairs on the first floor, there’s plenty of room for your guests to mingle and move in The Haight’s dedicated cocktail and lounge space. One of my favorite appointments in this space is the bespoke “Cheers” wall, accented by warm pendant lighting. It’s the perfect place for a photobooth or selfie station!

The event team supports couples in all aspects of wedding planning — from timeline preparation, to cake-cutting logistics, floorplan creation, setting up and tearing down your personal décor, and more!

Cost to book The Haight

Pricing for receptions at The Haight ranges between $40-80 per head. Additional costs for venue access, catering, and linens may apply.
