Styled Shoot Wedding The Venue Chattanooga 202113

Wedding Editorial: The Venue Chattanooga

Last week, I attended an amazing wedding editorial session planned and designed by my good friends, Rachel Elle and Rachel Kathleen at The Venue Chattanooga as part of a photographer’s retreat and workshop hosted by Jordan Correces, creator and leader of the Wedding Lead Machine Accelerator Community. It’s only the second month of 2021, but I can confidently say that this weekend was by far one of the highlights of my year!

Photography Retreat

Jordan and his wife Crystal hosted an amazing photography business retreat for some of the top wedding photographers across the country. We spent the weekend together learning from each other through formal presentations on everything from business tactics, to Photoshop techniques, lighting skills, and mindset and client experience. But the learning didn’t stop there! We had plenty of time to connect and “talk shop” in between sessions.

While many of us at the retreat had been friends through online mediums like Facebook and Zoom, this was the first time we’d ever met in person, and it felt as if we were simply picking up where we left off — not meeting each other for the first time. I’m thankful that I have colleagues like Tom, Christora, Rachel, and Rachel. They push me further and build me up! We’re already making plans to meet and learn together again, and I can’t wait!

Wedding Editorial at The Venue Chattanooga

Rachel Elle and Rachel Kathleen both poured so much energy into planning, styling, designing, and coordinating a beautiful wedding editorial at The Venue Chattanooga. After months of staying in quarantine watching the snow pile up outside my office windows back home in Chicago, it was so refreshing to be able to create beautiful art with a group of kind, like-minded creatives.

The Venue Chattanooga is a one-of-a-kind wedding and event venue in Chattanooga, TN, offering distinctive indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces. We had the opportunity to make photographs in the main event hall at The Venue Chattanooga, as well as in the outdoor garden.

Rachel and Rachel created a beautiful styled shoot at The Venue Chattanooga featuring a color palette filled with soft pinks, blues, ivory and hints of gold. The elements of the shoot were both understated and luxurious. My favorite part of the shoot was the grand floral installation above the new fireplace at The Venue Chattanooga, created by Christy Staven and the team at MayFlowers Chattanooga.

Rachel Kathleen oversaw a flatlay styling station featuring stationery provided by Webbco Graphics. Hair and makeup for both of our lovely bride models were provided by Mindy Burns of MB.Hair.Chatt and Linda Kaye Makeup. Ever After Bridal of Chattanooga graciously provided two stunning gowns, and the grooms’ menswear was provided by Southern Charm Clothing.

The wedding editorial at The Venue Chattanooga would not have been complete without a unique cake by Next Tier Wedding Cakes, and beautiful lounge furniture from Red Roof Farm Vintage Rentals. Select jewelry for our bride and groom models was provided by The Chattanooga Jewelry Company.

This wedding editorial would not have been possible without our generous bride and groom models:

Jayna and Brad

Ashlyn & Mark
