About the Couple

Jen and Kris were such a sweet couple to work with for their wedding at Two Brothers Roundhouse! After years of hoping to find “the one” they connected on Bumble when Jen’s funny pickup line caught Kris’s attention. And as they tell it, history was made right from their first date! Not too long after, Kris proposed to Jen through a creative scavenger hunt.

Together, the pair share a deep love for their cat, all things brewing related (craft beer, wine — more on that later!), and Kris is a professional leatherworker.

The Venue

Located in Aurora, IL, Two Brothers Roundhouse is one of the most unique wedding venues in the Chicago suburbs, and for good reason: Originally built 160+ years ago as an industrial train facility, the venue is structured in the shape of a giant “O” — within this round building you’ll find a private courtyard with a beautiful hardwood gazebo for an outdoor ceremony, multiple vine-covered terraces with twinkle lights, and cozy stone hearths for an evening cocktail hour.

Weddings at Two Brothers Roundhouse can be as unique as your love — the modern brewpub is equipped to host celebrations for as few as 50 guests, or as many as 320. The venue includes a private bridal suite, and all the perks of an on-site brewery and distillery, as well as a dedicated venue coordinator to assist you on your wedding day.

My Favorite Moments

Jen and Kris’ Two Brothers Roundhouse wedding was filled with smiles and laughter from start to finish. The couple planned and curated much of the day themselves, and it was important to them that their celebration be centered around sharing their love and personal style with their closest friends and family.

To personalize their wedding ceremony at Two Brothers Roundhouse, the couple drew inspiration from Kris’ work as a leather artisan, stitching together a leather unity heart after sharing handwritten vows captured in small leather vow books (also made by the groom!).

After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a round of Jen and Kris’ favorite craft beer from the onsite brewery!

Instead of traditional wedding favors, the couple made and bottled their own cherry wine, carefully labelling each bottle for guests to enjoy with dinner or take home for future treat. (Even the photographer received a bottle — I enjoyed it at home after the wedding!)

Jen and Kris’ day was uniquely them, simply styled and big on personality, all the way until the very last dance. Thank you both for trusting me to tell this portion of your wedding story, and congratulations again!
