The Highland Loft | Wedding Venue
The Highland Loft is a newer industrial wedding venue in Illinois, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. Opened in December 2019, the Highland Loft is a beautiful event space that can be divided and customized to fit almost any wedding celebration.
Marilyn and Corey were so generous with their time last week and gave me a full tour of the Highland Loft, and I’m so excited to share this amazing virtual tour of the space as the second installment of my new venue feature series!
About the Highland Loft
The Highland Loft is a beautiful 19,000+ square foot convertible event space located in downtown Elgin, IL. When I first visited the loft, Marilyn told me the loft brings so many elements of the city — the industrial ambience, warm brick walls, and oversized portrait windows and striking views — without the downtown Chicago price tag.

With distinct spaces for a getting ready, the ceremony, dinner, and dancing all under one roof, the Highland Loft is the ultimate canvas for your wedding vision.
I was so impressed by the bridal suite at the loft. Wouldn’t you like to get ready in this gorgeous space? Marilyn and the team have taken great care to create a bridal suite that is warm and inviting, with plenty of lounge space for you and your bridesmaids to relax and have mimosas as you get your hair done.
But let’s not forget about the gentlemen! The Highland Loft also has a luxurious groom’s suite with comfy leather couches, and a big-screen TV so your man can relax with his buddies before the two of you meet for your first look.
When it comes time to say “I do” the Highland Loft team has thoughtfully equipped their ceremony space with its own distinct sound system, artfully concealed behind a rustic facade so the focus of the day will stay where it belongs — on you and your soon-to-be husband.
The Highland loft has space for 60+ tables for your grand reception dinner, but my favorite part of the reception space is the bar. Chris, the on-site, certified sommelier, will delight your guests with a cocktail hour to remember. Chris infuses whiskey in-house, and will welcome you and your new partner into her private tasting room to toast your new marriage together in style.
Corey, the mastermind behind Highland Preferred, Highland Loft’s premier DJ team, will keep your guests on the dance floor until the very last song. Corey is an event guru with a heart of gold, and it truly shows through in the way he’s tailored the dance floor. He’ll set the mood with plenty of programmable LEDs, uplighting, and twinkle lights. And for your guests who want to remain connected to the party but need a break, the dance floor is thoughtfully-configured with two lounge spaces on either side so they can relax while still being present in the party and never miss a song.
Cost to book The Highland Loft
Rentals for The Highland Loft range between $5,000-7,500 per event, depending on the day of the week. Separately priced meals begin at $18 per person.
