Vendor Feature: Luci Floral Design

I’ve had the privilege of photographing Luci’s beautiful floral artistry two years in a row, first at Jessica and Aaron’s Navy Pier elopement last summer, and earlier this year when we partnered with an amazing team of vendors led by Rebecca at Something Profound Weddings to execute a stunning wedding editorial at Chicago’s Room 1520 that is now featured in Lakeshore in Love.

Luci’s work is beautiful and ethereal, and I’m so excited to share the story of her small business, Luci Floral Design!

How did you start Luci Floral Design, and what makes your business unique?

I always had a passion for design, just couldn’t figure out where to use the passion. I made some of my friends bouquets for their wedding, and I loved it. In 2016 I took a class for flower design and I fell in love with it. I said to myself , “This is what I want to do!”. I am not sure what makes us unique, but I do know that we love what we do and we put our heart in every arrangement we make. It’s about you as a bride, customer or flower lover and how we love to make people smile when they see their custom flowers.

What sorts of clients and events do you serve?

We provide floral services for both weddings and other special events.

We love customers that trust our work. Most inspiration pictures from customers come from Pinterest, and that is ok as it helps us understand your vision. We like to learn about you as a customer and connect the flowers with what’s most special to you.

Tell us a little about your process. How do you work with clients?

When we get an inquiry, we want to make sure that we are a good fit for each other, because its important to be able to communicate and work together. We like to meet in person or video call to learn more about each other and discuss details of the wedding vision. Then we put together a proposal that fits the vision and the budget for the wedding day. Then if we are moving forward to work together, we like to build the flower vision for the wedding day. We have meetings, email communication, inspirational pictures, timeline and anything else we need to have to make sure your wedding day look just as you have dreamed it!

What are your top tips for having an amazing wedding experience?

Remember that this wedding is for you two to celebrate the love you have for each other. It’s your day and you want to have the best time, so be sure you have a great photographer that will capture these moments of you two!
